Be careful with those ladders
If you're busy putting up storm windows, cleaning autumn leaves out of gutters, or doing other chores in preparation for winter that require a ladder, don't forget to look up. Overhead power lines and ladders -- especially aluminum ladders -- can be a deadly combination. Always carry the ladder horizontally and before you set it up, check carefully to make sure you won't contact the power lines overhead.
