Allie LaForce, Miss Teen USA 2005 will appear at Hancock-Wood’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 8:30-11 am at the Hancock Rec Center in Findlay. More than 1,700 people are expected to attend, making it one of the largest customer gatherings in northwest Ohio. Featured speaker is Sheldon C. Petersen, Governor and CEO of Cooperative Finance Corporation. The event theme, “Working Hard for Members,” will be addressed during the business meeting in two different reports/speeches.
And once again, HWE will webcast its event, and is believed to be the only electric cooperative in the nation to do so. Instructions are available at www.hwelectric.com.
Additionally, several local civic leaders will be on hand, and the company will offer a free buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns and more, to every single person attending. What’s more, customers will receive a free limited-edition series coffee mug and oven mitt.
Among other event highlights:
- Take Action Booth. Visit our booth and sign up for the Take Action Network, which allows you to make your voice heard in the halls of Congress and in your own state legislature. It's quick, easy, and free, and our staff will help members sign up.
- Company report. Hear a report on the company’s status from President & CEO George Walton.
- Food drive. Members are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the needy. All items go to the City Mission of Findlay and the Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry.
