Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative (HWE) held its Annual Meeting in Findlay on Saturday, September 15 to a crowd of around 2,000 people, which is believed to have been the largest customer party in northwest Ohio.
The meeting covered several co-op business and financial items, including details on the new planned office facility, scheduled to open in 2008. HWE also unveiled a new logo, timed to coincide with the introduction of the new facility. The day also included a fun atmosphere with a theme focused around “Building the Future.” Children’s activities, booths and other giveaways added to the excitement of the day, preceded by a free buffet meal of eggs, ham, sausage, pancakes and much more. HWE also conducted a successful food drive, which benefited the City Mission of Findlay and the BG Christian Food Pantry.
