NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio – It's a big deal. It's a big switch in locations. And you can see the Big Switch.

Everyone's invited to "The Big Switch" New Office Grand Opening Party on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008 at 8:08 a.m. -- at a date and time you won't soon forget -- 8-8-08 at 8:08 a.m.

And we'll inaugurate the opening of our new headquarters at a public ceremony with the midwest's largest light switch. The public is invited to bring cameras and get a photo standing next to this massive working light switch. The event will be held at the new office (1399 Business Park Drive South, North Baltimore), and begin at 8:08 a.m. starting with the following:

• National Anthem.
• Ceremonial flag raising.
• Remarks from U.S. Representative Robert Latta.
• Remarks from President & CEO, contractor and dignitaries.
• Burying of time capsule.
• Ceremonial opening of the building by the turning on of the largest working light switch in the midwest.

Following the program, the public will enjoy:

• A free lunch will be served, which includes hot dogs, chips, pop and cake.
• Free tethered rides in a hot air balloon (weather permitting) from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Attendees will be able to meet the flight crew as well.
• Kids will enjoy huge inflatable toys and games, and the chance to sit on a line truck and try on equipment.
• The opportunity to sign a Hancock-Wood flag, commemorating the historic day.
• Free giveaways.
• Employee-guided tours.
• Learn more about climate change with an informal seminar in the community room.
• Looping photo show highlighting the construction of the building, which began last September.
• Meet the employees who provide power to your homes and businesses.
