NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio - On Friday at Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative, members of all ages will get an opportunity to sit in an HWE line truck, try on equipment and see the company in action.
That’s because its electric customers are invited to “Family Fun Day,” a free open house-style event at its office on Friday, June 17 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at its North Baltimore office just off I-75 at exit 168.
“This event is another opportunity for Hancock-Wood to get the word out about what we do, because many members are still unfamiliar with the concept of a business owned by the people it serves,” said President & CEO George Walton. “Tradition must be learned, and Hancock-Wood has a proud one to share.”
Among the event highlights:
• Free hot dogs, chips, cookies, drinks (while supplies last)
• Giveaways and prizes, including two croquet and two bocce ball sets
• Kids activities
• Scheduled tours of the HWE office every 30 minutes
• See an HWE line truck from the inside
• Meet HWE employees
• See the cooperative in action
