NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio - On Friday at Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative, members of all ages will get an opportunity to have their picture taken with PBS’s famous Clifford The Big Red Dog™, jump on huge bouncy inflatables, sit in an HWE line truck, try on equipment and see the company in action.
That’s because its electric customers are invited to “Family Fun Day,” a free open house-style event at its office on Friday, June 15 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at its North Baltimore office just off I-75 at exit 168.
“We’re excited to add Clifford and some fun games to give the kids even more to do,” said President & CEO George Walton. “This event is a great opportunity for Hancock-Wood to get the word out about what we do, because many members are still unfamiliar with the concept of a business owned by the people it serves.”
Among the event highlights: (rain or shine)
- Meet Clifford The Big Red Dog (bring your camera)
- Jump on huge bouncy inflatable games
- Free hot dogs, chips, cookies, drinks and sno cones (while supplies last)
- Giveaways and door prizes
- Kids activities and crafts
- Tours of the HWE office
- See an HWE line truck from the inside
- Meet HWE employees
- See the cooperative in action
- Prism Propane will fill grill tanks while you wait for only $9.75 (plus tax).
Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a member-owned, nonprofit electric Cooperative serving 12,700 members in 10 northwest Ohio counties, including Kelleys Island. More information is available at www.hwelectric.com.
