There's never been a better time to consider geothermal.
Geothermal has always been the most efficient and least expensive way to heat and cool your home, but its upfront cost was always a deterrent to some.
However, with an increased rebate from Hancock-Wood -- now at $800 -- and a 30% federal tax credit off the total cost of a system, it has never cost less to install geothermal in your home.
Here's how you benefit and save with the Geothermal Stimulus Program:
- $800 rebate from Hancock-Wood (installation of radio-controlled switch required on AC side of geo system). Rebate is for gas-to-electric conversions; all others receive a $600 rebate.
- $5.50 credit from Hancock-Wood for 4 months every year from June-Sept.
- 30% federal tax credit from U.S. Government off total cost of geothermal system (tax credit specs can be found here).
- Free sizing and cost-of-operation comparison with your present system.
- Dealer will conduct a home inspection to ensure that your home is a solid candidate for geothermal.
- Free brochures on the benefits of geothermal.
- Underground loops last 50+ years, and you'll enjoy reduced maintenance fees. Unlike AC and heat pumps, geo is installed indoors, so they're not in the elements.
- Geothermal eliminates hot and cold spots, so you'll enjoy increased comfort. It's warm air without the hot blasts associated with ordinary gas furnaces, or the cooler air of an air source heat pump. Additionally, when cooling, geothermal delivers cool, dehumidified air.
- It's environmentally friendly, according to the EPA. Geo emits no carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide or other greenhouse gasses.
- Best of all: reduced operating costs!
To get started, contact your local dealer and have them visit your home to get a quote. It's that easy!
