Our rural economic development loan
program provides loans to HWE at zero percent interest rates.
We in turn pass along these funds and interest rates to businesses
and non-profit corporations. Funds are used to encourage economic
development and job creation within our service territory.
Our grant program
is designed to establish a HWE revolving loan fund that would
be used for economic development in our area. Eligible recipients
are for-profit, non-profit and public entities that desires
to establish and maintain a zero interest revolving loan fund
with us.
Program funds are
derived from annual appropriations from Congress and are made
available to us by the
United States Department of Agriculture.
